Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Designers Downtown Market?
We are an open-air arts and crafts market focusing on Southeast and Raleigh-based designers and craftspeople.  We have been operating in downtown Raleigh since 2005 (under the name Crafter's Flea Market).  Our vendors feature unique and eclectic gift items, apparel, jewelry, gourmet food and much more.  Each Market is different, so there is always something new and exciting to see!

How often is there a Market?
We try to do 4-5 Markets per year, March through November.  This can vary due to weather and other special circumstances.

What are your hours?
Usually from 9:00am until 3:00pm, but this can vary depending on the time of year.  Check this site for the specific times for each Market.

What if it rains?
We always schedule at least one rain date for the week immediately following the original date.  If it rains on both days, please refer to this site for additional information.

Where is the Market?
Currently, we are located in the parking lot of Ornamentea and The Purple Armchair at 509 & 600 N. West Street, Downtown Raleigh.  Ornamentea is open for business during the Market and often features special sales and discounts.

Are you affiliated with Ornamentea?
No.  While they are kind enough to let us use their parking lot and the owners are good friends, there is no formal business relationship between the Market and Ornamentea.

How do I become a vendor?
